RICHMOND - Selectmen meet Thursday to hear an update on a grant obtained last year to help bring Hodgdon Yachts to town and create jobs.

Hodgdon, with the support of the town, received a $400,000 state grant from the state Department of Economic and Community Development last year to help fund their expansion to Richmond.

The East Boothbay-based yacht-maker moved part of its business into 30,000 square feet of space Hodgdon Yachts is leasing in the Richmond Business and Manufacturing Center.

Selectmen are scheduled to hear an update on progress associated with the grant and Hodgdon from Economic and Community Development Director Darryl Sterling.

Selectmen meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Richmond Town Office.

They are also scheduled to:

• Consider appointing Dan Dunton as Budget Committee representative to the Cable TV Committee.

• Discuss the process of hearing requested tax abatements.

• Consider approving four requests from businesses for reimbursement of property taxes for business property.
