By Betty Jespersen Morning Sentinel reporter November 19, 2008 04:50 PM

WILTON # A fight in progress in an apartment on Main Street was interrupted Sunday morning when Wilton police Officer Josh King responded to a 911 call to find a woman had been assaulted. No charges have been filed and the case remains under investigation, according to police.

Last week, a Massachusetts man was arrested on a charge of terrorizing after he allegedly threatened a resident of Weld Road with a steak knife. On Nov. 14, Kyle Guimar, 19, was arrested by Officer Rick Billian following a fight with another man. Guimar reportedly went into the house and got a knife, Billian said.

On the same day, a domestic assault and a break-in at a house on Weld Road were investigated that resulted in the arrest of William Ames, 37, of Wilton. Ames allegedly broke in the rear door of the residence and physically assaulted the victim who suffered minor injuries. Ames fled but was tracked by a Franklin County K-9 team to Guy Chandler Road. According to Officers Scott Nile and Rick Billian, Ames was allegedly in possession of a stolen truck. He was charged with aggravated criminal mischief, a felony; domestic assault; unauthorized use of motor vehicle; and operating after suspension.
