The Secretary of State's Office is conducting a recount today in the race for Senate District 19, which includes Dresden, Richmond and other nearby towns.

Election night totals showed Democrat Seth Goodall of Richmond leading incumbent Sen. Paula Benoit, R-Phippsburg, by 122 votes. The vote totals were 11,163 to 11,041, according to unofficial results.

The recount, which began at 9 a.m., is being held at the Maine Department of Public Safety Headquarters at 45 Commerce Drive in Augusta.
