A Brunswick man faces a charge of aggravated drug trafficking after police raided his home Monday, seizing 400 pills, most of them oxycodone, and $4,000.
Larry Havener, 60, of 23 Gleed Drive, is being held at Cumberland County Jail without bail. Havener is on federal probation for an earlier drug offense, police said.
The raid was conducted by area police in concert with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
When police arrived at the house at 3:15 p.m., Havener was fortifying it by securing wire mesh over the windows, police said. The charge is more serious than it would be otherwise because Havener's house is within 1,000 feet of Brunswick High School.
