WATERVILLE -- Colby College students on Thursday will present findings of research they did on water quality of Pattee Pond in Winslow.

The public is invited to attend the event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Ostrove Auditorium in the Diamond Building on campus. It is expected to last 90 minutes.

Nineteen seniors who are majoring in environmental science took part in the research project under guidance of professors Russell cole and Tracy Greenwood.

The study was done at the request of the Pattee Pond Association.

Students will discuss current water quality and environmental factors that influence it. They also will make recommendations for maintaining water quality and will talk about the nature of the watershed and its land use patterns, both past and present.
