FARMINGTON - A single-vehicle accident Monday morning at about 8 a.m. involved a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta, operated by Nicole Grant, 18, of West Farmington, that skidded off the road and went nose first into a stream along Ludy Knowles Road.

The water was flowing rapidly under the road through a culvert and was about three feet deep, said Farmington police Officer Mike Adcock. Grant was not injured.

There were 12 reports of snow and icy related accidents coming into the Franklin County Sheriff's Department Dispatch Center Monday.
