Maine House and Senate Democrats will meet this afternoon to choose among three attorneys who want to be the state's next attorney general.
Sean Faircloth of Bangor, Janet Mills of Farmington and John Brautigam of Falmouth are all running for the seat. Maine is the only state in the county in which the Legislature chooses the attorney general.
The Democratic nominee will then go before the full Legislature on Wednesday for a formal vote. Since Democrats control both the House and Senate, the Democratic nominee is all but assured of getting the job.
