BRUNSWICK -- Wildlife rehabilitation is the focus of the latest Friends of Merrymeeting Bay's winter speaker series presentation Thursday.
Karen McElmurry, director of the Center for Wildlife in York, is scheduled to present "Wildlife Rehabilitation: Raptors, Reptiles & More," Thursday at 7 p.m. at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick.
McElmurry is a licensed wildlife rehabilitator with 23 years experience, providing care for sick and injured wildlife until they can be released back into the wild. She is expected to have special guests from the center with her Thursday.
The Center for Wildlife treats 1,600 animals a year.
The Friends of Merrymeeting Bay speaker series is free and open to the public.
