SOUTH PORTLAND -- Tweeter, the electronics chain with a store in South Portland, has ended its liquidation sale and shuttered its doors early.
The owner of the chain, Schultze Asset Management, converted its bankruptcy case to Chapter 7, meaning it's going out of business immediately. The chain had initially said it would stay open until Dec. 7 to sell off remaining inventory.
A phone number for Schultze Asset Management in New York was not in service this morning and the number for the South Portland store was disconnected.
