ORONO -- University of Maine senior football players Jovan Belcher and Ryan Canary were recently named to the New England Football Writers FSC All-Star team.

Belcher, a defensive end, made the team for the second straight year. He recorded 17.5 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks.

Canary, an offensive lineman, anchored a line which helped running backs Jared Turcotte and Jhamal Fluellen earn first-team and and third-team all-conference honors, respectively, this season.
