Westbrook Police this morning arrested a 52-year-old man for failure to comply with the Maine Sex Offender Registration Act, and violating his bail conditions.
Scott Biller has multiple prior convictions for failure to comply with registration, Westbrook Chief William Baker said in a press release. Biller was out on bail awaiting trial on two pending charges of failure to comply.
Westbrook Police had received several complaints from residents in the past month, complaining that Biller was living at a home on Spring Street. Under his bail conditions, Biller was prohibited from living at that address, Baker said.
Biller is being held at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland. He is expected to appear in court tomorrow for an initial appearance on the new charges.
The failure to comply charge is a class B felony offense, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
