GRAY - The National Weather Service is forecasting a foot of snow across most of Maine as the second winter storm in three days bears down on the state.

The weather service said a nor'easter will bring high winds, cold temperatures and heavy snow Sunday into Monday.

Mainers will wake up Sunday morning to frigid temperatures ranging from the single digits in the south to 15 below zero or colder in northern sections.

Friday's storm dumped between 6 and 10 inches of snow on parts of southern Maine, while northern Maine was spared.
