Zach Farrington scored 17 points and Andrew Smithgall 11 to lead Winthrop to a 52-40 win over Jay in Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball action Saturday night. Farrington scored nine points in the third quarter as the host Ramblers opened a 40-31 lead. Jay senior Dylan Stefani led all scorers with 23 points. Winthrop is 6-0, Jay is 4-2.
