Eustis, New Sharon get walloped

GRAY - The mountain town of Eustis in Franklin County got buried with 41.8 inches of snow Sunday night and early Monday morning, a meterologist with the National Weather Service said Monday morning.

Jim Hayes said that another Franklin County town much nearer to central Maine, New Sharon, got 28 inches of snow. Wilton receieved 18.5 inches.

In Somerset County, Rockwood has 25.2 inches, Harmony 19 and Skowhegan 16.

Waterville had the top total in Kennebec County with 17 inches, Hayes said. Augusta got 14.5 inches.
