AUGUSTA -- Brandon Antonio Bernarducci was born New Year's Day at 10:15 a.m. at the MaineGeneral Medical Center's Augusta campus.

Jennifer Riggs, administrative director of women services, said both the mother and baby are doing fine.

"We've been lucky," Riggs said today. "We've had at least one at one campus or the other. I believe last year it was at the Waterville campus. This year it's in Augusta."
