OAKLAND -- Dog owners need to license their dog for 2009 by the end of the month or face a late fee.

The license fee is $6 for spayed/neutered dogs and $10 for unaltered canines. Licenses are available at the Town Office. After Jan. 31 owners must pay an additional $15 per dog.

Proof of rabies and spayed/neutered certificates are required at registration.
