NEW GLOUCESTER -- A 42-year-old man was arrested last night after a standoff with police that lasted nearly three hours.

Jeffrey Roderick of New Gloucester was taken to the Cumberland County Jail shortly before 10 p.m. after state police were called to his home on McKenny Drive for a domestic dispute that possibly involved a weapon.

Police responded and found Roderick uncooperative. He had barricaded himself in the home, although a woman and a teenage girl, Roderick's wife and daughter, got out of the house unharmed.

No shots were fired. Nobody was injured. Roderick gave up without incident.
