PORTLAND -- Plenty of fine, dry snow was falling across much of Southern Maine this morning, but it's expected to taper off this afternoon.
State police and local emergency officials said the roads are slippery with some accidents and slide-offs reported, but no major accidents by mid-morning.
In Cumberland and York counties, up to 6 inches was expected today, with some spots getting even more, according to the National Weather Service.
A coastal flood warning during the mid-morning high tide is posted from the Bath area to the New Hampshire state line.
The temperatures during the day are expected to be in the teens and twenties, with winds gusting up to 30 mph. Tonight temperatures will drop to the single digits, according to the National Weather Service.
