SKOWHEGAN - The Skowhegan Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed until some time in the coming weeks, the chamber director said Wednesday.
No new date has been announced.
Conflicts with other area events made key individuals unavailable for the dinner, Executive Director Cory King said.
The annual awards dinner provides an update to members on the past year's goals and plots the direction for the chamber in the year to come, he said.
It had been slated for T & B's Celebration Center in Skowhegan.
"This event, which also is an award recognition night for businesses and volunteers who are involved with the chamber, is attended regularly every year by many of its members who can not attend on the present date," King said.
"It's kind of a freak thing, having this many people genuinely unavailable."
