CDC issues advisory on peanut butter

By Portland Press Herald Staff Report January 19, 2009 09:31 AM

The Center for Disease Control has released a health advisory on the recent peanut butter recall as the result of salmonella outbreak.

In Maine, there have been four reported cases.

Although not all products containing this peanut butter have been identified, there is a list available you can read by clicking here.

The CDC also recommends not eating other peanut butter products until information becomes available on whether that product may be affected. To date, major national brand name jars of peanut butter sold in grocery stores have not been associated with any salmonella outbreak.
