The Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands will begin accepting reservations for camping at 12 state park campgrounds for the 2009 season at 9 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 2, according to the Maine Department of Conservation.
Campers can make reservations at Maine state campgrounds in four ways:
•online at www.CampWithMe.com;
•by calling in state at 800-332-1501; or (out-of-state) 207-624-9950;
•by mailing reservations to: Bureau of Parks and Lands, ATTN.: Reservations, 22 SHS, Augusta, ME 04333. Mailed reservation requests must not be postmarked before Feb. 2, 2009.
•by walking in at the Augusta office.
Campsite fees for residents range from $11.77 to $16.05 per night, 20.33 to $26.75 for nonresidents, and fees for hook-up sites are $26.75 per night, $37.45 for nonresidents. State tax is included in this fee, and there is an additional fee of $2 per night per reservation. Reservations are not accepted for the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, the Penobscot River Corridor or Baxter State Park.
