FARMINGTON -- An update to a story brought to you earlier this week: Republican Lance Harvell of Farmington won the special legislative election in House 89.
Harvell took 1,295 votes to 617 for Democrat Dennis Haszko on Tuesday in the towns of Farmington and Industry.
The special election was called to fill a seat left vacant after Janet Mills was chosen as Maine's new attorney general.
Democrats will still maintain a sizable majority in the Legislature.
