Waterville hockey edges Lewiston in season finale

Shawn Lee scored a pair of power-plays goals as the Waterville Senior High School boys hockey team beat Lewiston 2-1 in the regular-season finale for both teams Monday at Colby College in Waterville.

Lee scored on the power play in the first period with assists from Ian Rowe and Nick DeBlois. Lewiston's Robbie Leeman scored at 6:54 of the third period to tie it, but Lee scored 2:01 later to give Waterville the win.

Nolan MacDonnell earned the win with 15 saves, while Cam Poussard had 24 saves for Lewiston.

Waterville ends the regular season as the No. 1 seed in Eastern Maine Class A with a 17-1-0 record.
