BRUNSWICK - The Free Black Bridge, a one-lane bridge over the Androscoggin River, will close beginning Tuesday for two weeks to allow state crews to replace its running boards.

The bridge is used as a shortcut, carrying one lane of traffic between the Topsham Heights neighborhood and Mill Street in Brunswick.

Mark Latti, spokesman for the Maine Department of Transportation, said the repair work should take about two weeks to complete, provided there are no weather delays.
