AUGUSTA -- The Maine State Museum has family activities each day this week, traditionally known as February vacation week in most area schools.

The special family events are from 2 to 4 p.m. each day, Tuesday to Friday.

Guests are invited to partake in playing old fashioned and classic games in the museum's attic, and exploring nature's wonders at the museum's "Please Touch Nature Cart." The activities offer hands-on exploration and family fun suitable for all ages, according to a news release from the museum.

The events are free with the price of museum admission.

Tuesday and Thursday the Please Touch Nature Cart is offered, while old fashion game-playing is planned Wednesday and Friday.
