Gorham firefighters are battling a three-alarm blaze in a barn at 114 County Road which is extending to the attached house.

The fire was reported at about 1 p.m.

Firefighters were having trouble getting enough water to fight the fire because there is only one hydrant in the area, authorities said. The department has requested mutual aid from neighboring departments to help bring water to the scene.

There are no reports that anyone was home when the fire broke out.
