You can't believe that a democrat is going to just pull out all of our troops from Iraq... If so, you are dreaming. It is not as easy as it sounds. It is a reality that a military family has to deal with and yes I do hope that this does not go on for another 4 more years. I'm 31 years old and been married for 7. My husband has been on 10 month deployments out to sea for the last 5 years. One of those years was when the USS Cole was bombed. How soon we forget that the war of terrior existed then and not just on 9/11. This is what they are fighting for-OUR FREEDOM.report abuseAuditor

You must be kidding - 4,000 dead, 40,000+ wounded and maimed and 100,000+ psychologically damaged in a civil war without end... Why would anyone want to continue sending family and friends to this for 4 more years? Please reconsider.report abuse

Although I'm a father of 2 and stepdad to 3, I cannot for one moment imagine what it is like to have your children sent to Iraq.
I cannot imagine about being a father of young children and leaving for now a second tour in Iraq.
May they return in good health.
The one thing I can do so these 2 patriots are not sent back for a 2nd and 3rd tour, is to vote for a Democrat for President; all the Republican candidates support the current open end commitment now in year 5.
I hope others too can support the troops and their families by not continuing this war for another 4 years of the same.
Let this be the last deployment for these 2 fine people from Maine.report abuse

Like other Americans I'm proud of our service personnel and their sense of duty to country.
