besides all...if you read the article it said that the cop pulled to the RIGHT of the road (the opposite side of the road that the Monte Carlo was traveling)....if you were traveling at an appropriate speed for the conditions, you wouldn't slam into the side of the cop's car. I think that says it all....Cops have ever right and even the responsibility to be sitting on the side of our roads to protect us and to ensure our safety when driving. how about we just admit that the teen made a mistake with driving to fast? I don't see panicing officers driving around too quickly unless there is an emergency...if I were involved in an emergency, I would want the cops to get there quickly...would You?report abuse

Snow--sorry but you are the one in lala land. I recall when you were one of the ones commenting on the kids that were racing in Oakland and saying that cops need to do this and that. Well, the cop was doing this and that and now you are complaining. First of all, you weren't there and neither was I....so I guess neither of us can judge who was wrong. I would have to say that based on the story, that the cop that pulled over to the side of the road and the person going to fast for the conditions was wrong....obviously you being the cop hater that you are, think that the cop was wrong. So, wake up for lala land....I love how everyone seems to think that cops lie so often.....bad cops are the minority not the majority in Maine.report abuse

Sorry Kal you are the one in lala land-the kid has a job, driving an older monte carlo without front real drive-if not for the officer's action he would have most likely made it to work safely!!! Thankfully no one was killed!report abuse
