I spent some time growing up with Craig. He was always a great person and friend. I have not spoke with him in a few years and we both have families now. To have read this broke my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.report abuseScott

The article stated that the fire, "most likely was caused by careless of disposal of smoking materials." One would assume something to do with cigarettes in an ashtray?, one fell out?, maybe a hot one still in the ashtray when it was dumped into a receptacle? At any rate, this is tragic, and my prayers go out to the family & this life lost.

It is such a shame. We just had all of our smoke detectors hard wired in our house with a battery back up. We have one in each room and one in the basement as well.report abuseMomOf4
