At the same time, Evangelicals are aware of Jesus words that stated "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it you are not alarmed. Such things must happen,..." (Matthew 24:6 NIV)
In light of this, we must be continually praying for peace but at the same time being prepared for those times when war is a necessity. While Satan is able to have a rule over this earth, war is always close by. It will not be until Christ returns that war will end someday!report abuse

Evangelicals hope for the day as written about in Isaiah 2:4 that reads "...They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation nor will they train for war anymore." (NIV)

Drove by there this afternoon, there were picketers in front of the plant protesting with signs that read "stop making killing machines" and the like. Not a large crowd, maybe 20 or so. I have no opinion on the subject, but respect others rights to have theirs. Just wanted to share that information with you folks, saw no media coverage at that time.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
