The conversation with the owner turned to the recent
rash of arson among competing businesses in the
area. He confided to me that this was common
practice, and that he personally could have any
other business burned for the sum of $100, which
today equals about $375. So, should we be
surprised that this business, trying to get back on
it's feet in a highly competitive market, gets
torched twice just as it is ready to reopen?

In 1976 I was doing some work for a restaurant/resort in Sebago.
The conversation with the owner turned to the recent
