Hey, here's a novel idea, why not fire some of the many staffers the USM administration hired last year illegally that helped create this overspending. There is more than just a little too much upper management there. Just one more reason USM will remain a backwater school with little to no prospects of improving the school, student body or Maine as a whole for state run higher education institutions.report abusedoug

Looks like a smart move, the programs still exist, whats most important is it's a sound fiscal move. In this economy everything and everyone is feeling the pinch. People need change, government needs change, education needs change. Lets not let our emotions cloud good fiscal responsibility.Maine is great.report abuseXportlander
