We're also really happy with the Skybus service at Portsmouth. We moved our company out of Maine last year (tax burden drove us out) to Greensboro and the direct flight from Portsmouth has been wonderful.
I hope that those in the Portland area will keep using and growing the Jetport. Our local airport, Bangor International Airport, is going through a bad spate of management and managed to lose most of its service over the past couple of years. So, we use the Jetport as it offers a lot of flights at competitive prices and is fairly reliable. It's a gem in Maine's otherwise bleak economic landscape.report abuse

Aviation growth at the Portland Jetport and Portsmouth International Airport has been nothing short of astonishing. Southern Maine is lucky to have four excellent airport choices: Boston, Manchester-Boston, Portsmouth International and the Portland Jetport. Our company uses all four on a regular basis, with the bulk of our business going through the Jetport.

New Hampshire is experiencing just as many buget woes as Maine. Some people think that as soon as one crosses the bridge at Kittery, the roads are paved in gold, and economic woes that Mainers face each day will suddenly come to an end. Well it's just not that way. Besides, our Portland Jetport has grown at a rate ten times that of what Pease is proposing, and is still undergoing construction. We have a lot to be thankful for here in Maine. I've lived in 5 other states, and I'm proud to say I live here. Sure we in a slump, but it is what it is, and instead of complaining and being sarcastic, which is what most responders to this paper do, why not work to improve our life here, rather than complain day after day?report abusekidatheart
