The death penalty is not intended to punish the offender! It simply sends a clear message to others that they do not want to follow the path that led the crack dealing home intruder to his death. Crack kills and wrecks the lives of all who love the addict; crack dealers know this! I say it is premeditated murder! Hang em high and restore our country. I really don't want to pay taxes to keep all those losers in a warm jail while I freeze my rear off in my cold house trying to keep from ending up homeless in this mortgage crisis! We the honest hard working taxpayers are the victims! Let's turn it around and let the people who do harm to our society pay for it in a public way. Just because God forgives them and I do too, doesn't mean that the wise thing to do is let them sit in a warm cell while I pay for their heat and pray that I can find enough money for my next 5 gallons of kerosene! We all agree that to put a sick animal out of it's misery is a good thing, so why not help some of these sick people out? It would put a stop to other poor souls following them off the edge of the earth!
I know there are plenty of people who have lost a friend or relative to drugs. Just think... if the gov had cracked down on this 30 years ago! We wouldn't still be losing loved ones to crack and heroin. Sure alot of poor addict/dealers would be put to death in the near future, but the distant future would sure be brighter for it! We can not continue to build more jails and we can't turn them loose. They only hurt or kill other people to get their high and they can't help themselves any more than the werewolves could in the old movies. They are what they are! Sure we would execute a few thousand in the first few years, but twenty years from now we will be able to say we saved millions of lives and saved alot of people the pain of losing loved ones to the hell we call addiction.report abuse
