Buck, this is a great thing for students. Some students are athletic and some are academic, either way, they are worthy of our support. By the way, the education these kids get in either one is your tax dollars at work. At least these kids aren't out breaking laws, they are working very hard and it will be a boost to them if they want to go to college.report abuseD Bragg

Man, I wish they'd had stuff like this when I was a kid. It would have been sooo much fun. It's great that students get a chance to do this stuff. Have a great time kids!!!!report abuseJoe Kennebec

I would have liked to see not only this article, but one about the FIRST Robotics Regional Competition that took place in Manchester, NH this past weekend. There were 5 teams from Maine, out of 48. There are about 1500 worldwide. Maine had a very good showing. So. Ptld. came in 2nd and won the GM industrial design award, Bonney Eagle won a couple of awards and Falmouth/Gorham, (FALGOR) won an award and the rookie team from Oakland, Mesalonskee (sp?) HS won a rookie award.
