I say lets arm all bank personnel with handguns. Shoot first, bury the body later. If they did that there would be no question who was robbing the bank.

Most people with drug habits are lazy and good for nothing. We feed them with our tax dollars, they don't work. When they get a little tight on money they don't think of cutting back or getting a job, they STEAL!!!
We need tougher restrictions on landlords who rent to these bozos. If their tenants are a problem charge the landlord a fee unless they evict the tenants. Many towns do this for problem houses. If the tenants become homeless, stick around, and still are a problem, arrest them for vagrancy!!
We also need residency requirements for welfare. If you're not a Maine resident for at least a year you shouldn't get TANF, subsidized housing, or any other aid. You should get a bus ticket back where you came from. Or maybe a police escort to the state line.
It's time for the courts to get tough on this type of robbery! Give them 20 years for a first offense. If they have three felonies give them life in prison.
If the liberals don't like the get tough approach, form a colony and let them live with the barbarians they're feeling sorry for. That should change their attitude!report abuse

The drug problem is growing in the Biddeford-Saco area. Welfare problem too. We are getting a lot of people moving here from other areas of the country to take advantage of the abundance of cheap and subsidized apartments here.

I agree, it does seem like the economy has alot to do with these robberies. We need to have the right politicians in office to get this economy going again and stop this cycle.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
