I'm afraid that maple trees aren't the only thing that "migrates north to a climate that supports it"...unfortunately, many people do as well (also tongue-in-cheek) ;}report abuse

Last year my children and I visited several sugar houses, the prices varied but were about the same, 6-8 oz of pure maple syrup went for around $15.00- $22.00. I know it takes allot to make the stuff.. but come on ! everytime we turn around some group is crying foul, stating they can't make ends meet or they need goverment help.I may vist this year but I'm not buying the stuff. If you really wantit you can go online and order it from Vermont much cheaper.report abuse
