Snowe and Collins are pseudo-Republicans. As soon as the tide shifts more significantly to the Democrats, I wouldn't be surprised to see these two spineless Maine beauties change to D.report abuse

Quit crying about not being able to meet a deadline. If Maine gov't could make a buck or two off of this, the seanators would be all for it.

Does not having a REAL ID prevent you from being obligated in filing a Federal Tax return on a tax that you don't owe in the first place? If so, then it sounds like a good reason not to have a REAL ID to me.

This REAL ID Act is just another exercise of the grabbing of power by the politics of Washington, D.C..
