At an early part of my career, I had the great privilege of working with Bob at WMTW. More than any other person, Bob taught me "economy of words" could also be artful. He was a graceful, kind gentlman, cut of the "old school" cloth. He very much reminded me of my father, also a network reporter who had crossed-paths with Bob several times overseas.
His contributions to journalism in Maine are monumental... he was someone who captured the beauty and uniquness of the people and culture.
Bob, we will miss you, and think fondly of you always.report abuse

This is a tremendous loss, both professionally and personally.
