I like the way the article says the realtor cited the harsh winter weather and negative media reports about the housing market as factors in the decline, I don't think negative media reports have anything to do with it , they are just stating the facts. And as far as taxes going down , that will never happen, basically they'll reduce the value of your property, but they'll just raise the mil rate accordingly so the tax remains the same....report abuseDP

woofwoof, Never said it was just Maine. Just pointed out how hard it is in Maine to support a house. So with that I am suppose to feel good that others states housing is imploding too. Bush is bailing out Wall Street and the Banks. Forget the little guy. The little guy will lose everything. Oh yeah the FBI has 22 fraud investigations going on these so called Mortgage Lenders the Wall Street Crowd use to love so much.
