All cancers are devastating...colorectal cancer is easily diagnosed early on and relatively easy to deal with. The screenings aren't the cheapest test there is but they are far cheaper than having to pay the bill for what it to come if the cancer gets ahead of you. The proceedure is also a pain in the a** but a lot less painful than surgery and chemo. Unless you have had a family member or friend die of this cancer you really can't fully understand all that is involved. I think for once Gov. Meatball got it right.report abuseMichael

The free market doesn't work for health care because too many don't have even basic care; and catastrophic coverage is beyond the means for the rest of us.

How about a bill that requires insurance companies to provide insurance coverage to everyone for free ? What ever happened to the free market in Maine ? The only insurance options left here are the ones that immediately pass any and all costs on to the few remaining residents that actually pay for their own health coverage.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment.
