The PPH does a lot of annoying and opinionated puff pieces about immigrants, and so forth...but this web edition did a very good job covering this story since it broke this morning, with photos, maps of the fire locations and timely updates.

They did exactly what a good internet paper does. Nice job.

Now, was the guy tied to anyone on the city payroll??report abuse

I will repeat what I said earlier today, Portland has to man up. God forbid if any real crime came to town or terrorism, I think the cops would go hide out at Dunkin Donuts. It is time for all of us, including the police to have some courage and drive the scum element out. I am ready to report for duty as a Portland soldier.report abuse

YES - I remember Hackett. That guy was the best law enforcement official this state has ever seen. BRING HIM BACK!

POrtland needs to get their act together. I was in town today, and rowdy teens cruise the streets. Its like a thunderdome scene at night in the old port.report abuse
