I think there is a relatively small error in Sen. Collins #s as reported in the PH. As of 12/31/07 she had 4,105930 raised on the Fec. website so adding 963,261 should give a total of $5,069,191 , not 5.5mil. Still a lot of $.report abuseMark

Indeed, money doesn't win elections alone. Endearing yourself to constituents with real accomplishments and a good work ethic does win elections. Here’s what Mainers have been thinking about this race and these two personalities recently:

Rep. Tom Allen and Sen. Susan Collins are serving Maine now. Are you happy with the results? If no, they should resign or be voted out of office. Do not re-elect the same people that fail to lead.report abuseCueball

Dino is right - there has to be better way to elect the phoneys we send to Augusta & Washington. I say ban all forms of political ads from TV & newspapers, similar to the ban on advertising cigerettes. The tobacco companies never lied half as many times as the politicians have.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
