You'd think that the Administration would have taken steps by now to fully inspect all aircraft and ship cargo entering this country, as well as securing our borders.

Really, Ya Think-
Likely to happen,,,, pass the crystal ball and the bong~ Who knows.
The story should read, Is “Any” city ready for a nuclear blast- The fact is that every year we do these doomsday drills, but rarely implement realistic FEMA guidelines and contingencies from the collected data. Are we prepared~ some states more than others, are we economically capable to guard against everything~?, and are we willing to give up more freedoms……

Why is that do you suppose?
Because it is much easier to govern people who are scared than those that are informed. It so happens that it is much easier to rip them off by raiding the Treasury, but please do NOT look behind the curtain.
I apologize to those that have read this before, but I urge all of you to watch/listen to the BBC's "Power of Nightmares," a three-part series available online. We live in a culture of fear - be brave.report abuse

A flu pandemic would overwhelm almost every city in the U.S., and here the HS&GA is talking about a nuclear weapon? While such an attack is a remote probability, much more likely would be a conventional weapon (or even a large building fire) laden with somewhat radioactive isotopes - imagine the panic that would ensue if a "dirty bomb" went off. Studies done by the Dept. of Energy have shown that more harm would occur from said panic than the dirty bomb itself - and yet our government has done nothing to educate the populace to this fact.
