Dirigo? IS necessary. Or some such healthcare plan. We do need to provide medical care for low/little/no income folks/families. But isn't there a more sensible way to do this? Find a way which doesn't further financially hurt those who need it. Don't tax food/drink stuffs and toilet paper! Come on, now.report abuse

And while he makes big bucks for himself, we pay more for the 'simple' (legal) things in life...like soda! And such other 'unneccessary frivolities', according to our legislators, to which they then deem worthy of assigning a higher tax rate. So who IS running this state? Obviously, people who can afford to pay for life's more simple pleasures and don't mind being sneaky in order to accomplish this. Hang the poor man who struggles, works, and still must pay through the snotty nose of even higher taxation.

FRANK OF JAY-YOU MISSED THE POINT. I DON'T CARE TO GAMBLE BUT THE POINT IS THAT IT AND THE SPORT ARENAS HAS BROUGHT A LOT OF PEOPLE AND BUSINESS TO THAT AREA,THEY STAYED AT VERY NICE MOTELS,ATE AT NICE RESTAURANTS. MY POINT WAS THE REVENUES.SOME WILL SAY YEA "BUT" TO THEM I SAY WHAT IS SO GREAT HERE NOW?report abusemoochie
