So that puts Colby ahead of a whole bunch of private schools -- Bowdoin, Amherst, Bates, Conn College, Hamilton, Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Wesleyan and Williams -- but I wonder how it stacks up against other Maine schools instead.
The University of Southern Maine, I bet, is a lot greener, despite their much smaller endowment.
Why aren't they getting recognition??
USM, I think, is much more relevant to Maine than Colby is -- our tax dollars pay for it, and it's much more a part of the community as a whole.
Their efforts, especially in the face of decreasing funds and enrollment, is much more applaudable.report abuse

Weird that they're doing this by athletic conference.
