I want to take this opportunity to thank Blueberry for bringing talk radio back to the people's republic of Central Maine. I have written to Clear Channel many many times asking them to put one of their Augusta Area stations on the talk circut, and I am very glad it happened, although Clear Channel ignored all my letters. The line up you have on 101.3 is the heart of all talk radio, and I listen to them constantly. In the past, I kept 560, 96.7 and 103.9 preset on my radio, and had to shift from station to station to hear it at all, then it was dicy. The next fight will be to get rid of the "Fairness Doctrine", (which it isn't), the democrats want to force upon us. I truly hope and pray cooler heads will prevail and stop this travesty. The major networks and the newspapers did their best to see that Obama was elected, and anyone who don't know this, has their head where the sun don't shine. I cannot understand why the powers in the broadcast industry want to make us a socialist government at the very least, and a communist government at the worst. This after the fact that all their income comes from capitalist sources. At least this is what we are told. So we need some source of reality to keep our heads straight in the face of all the crap foisted upon us by the very liberal media. Thank you again, Blueberry, keep up the good fight.

mdenis46, The mainstream media "news" casters ARE very liberal. Just ask them. Rush is absolutely right. He IS the balance. He presents sides and views of issues that one NEVER hears on ABC/CBS/NBC/PBC.report abusemdenis46

In these days of polarized opinions, it's much more common, IMHO, to have only two views -- black and white, lib and cons, left and right -- than it used to be. In reality, as you point out, few issues have only two sides, but one would never know that from listening to either conservative radio or liberal TV.report abuse

Mainer1776, if "There is no longer a need for a single media source to be 'balanced'", then why are conservatives constantly moaning about how liberal the news media are? Seems all they want is THEIR views to be heard. Fine, let Rush have the radio, but let moderates and liberals have the TV news then. Happy?

Pardon me, but I think there are many MORE sides to an issue than two. There are plenty of sources for information about all topics that are freely available to everyone. There is no longer a need for a single media source to be "balanced".report abuse
