I humbly disagree. Every piece of clothing I've bought from Beans' is what they call "imported" i.e. made in china or elsewhere. I emailed and asked for a list of things made in Maine. It was stuff like Christmas wreaths and maple syrup - Bean's has gone like every other business in this country - over seasreport abuse

Mr. Hertz is talking through his #&* because his mouth knows better. LLBean sells more products made in Maine than any retailer in the state. Their manufacturing plant produces the famous canvas bags, dog beds, bean boots in a variety of colors and flavors, and recently started making the rubber soles right here in Lewiston where before they had NEVER been made in Maine.

Disgruntled former employees are frequent critics of LLBean. I doubt they are "gruntled" in their current jobs.report abuse
