The cry throughout the country is to cut Military spending. Oh, that's right, here in Maine we build ships, guns and many other things that the Military use. I wonder if the savings of cutting the Military, will be offset by more social service spending for the out of work Mainers.report abuse

Tee must have gotten confused with the huge and underhanded tax increase the Democrat's in the Maine Legislature just passed to increase all of our health insurance costs along with beer, wine, soda and anything else that's wet and you drink. Maine Democrats - working to make Maine Taxpayers less wealthy and under employed!!!!report abuse

You should learn to read more carefully before you sound off. The article clearly states that the Committee vote was UNANIMOUS (that means that ALL the REPUBLICANS voted to kill the destroyer, too).report abuse
