No matter how many terrible books the guy writes, or how much money he makes, he's still the nerdy kid who is mad at the world. There's a special place in Augusta, just across from the capitol, for him to visit.report abuse

King is Maine's No.1 nut, and that is a very competitive category indeed! He moved up a notch from No.2 after being hit by the vehicle a while back, so I assume there was enough brain damage to catapult him to the No.1 position in this year's standings.

Stephen King said what he believed, and what many leftists believe: soldiers are idiots to fight (and possibly die) for their country. All this blather about leftists "supporting our troops," but not the war, is ridiculous, particularly when those leftists never saw a war they could support. Just ask one of them whether it was wrong to depose Iraq's murderous dictator. They'll obfuscate about whether Bush lied, but will never answer the question of whether war might be justified to save innocent people from murder, torture, or oppression. In their heart of hears, however, we know the answer: No. So, Tom Allen, be honest about the issue (for once). Tell us that you agree with Stephen King. And then go home. Permanently.report abuseyouknowit

Julie, You are right in that Allen is a wimp, as are most politicians when it comes to denial of anything that might hurt their chances of staying on the public payroll.report abuseYou must be a registered user of MaineToday.com to post a comment. Register or log in.
